The Center for Faculty Development and Excellence (CFDE) and Emorys Center for Interactive Teaching (ECIT) are partnering to bring you Faculty Connect. Faculty Connect is an interactive seminar focusing on collaboration and discovery of teaching methodologies that increase student engagement through technology. Participants will share ideas with one another and Faculty Services Instructional Technologists during the hands-on technology showcase. The showcase will include: digital storytelling, iPads (hands-on) and Poll Everywhere to increase student engagement. Following the showcase, we will have short 7-10-minute presentations by: Steve Kraftchick (Online learning), Sissel McCarthy (iPads), Melissa Alperin (e-Portfolios) and Gary Motley (Wordpress).
Presenters and participants will then have the opportunity to interact and discuss at rotating round table discussions on each presented topic. Join us as we connect faculty, technology and pedagogy.
We would politely ask that participants arrive by 12pm and plan to stay the entire seminar.
